I've been on Ravelry for a few years. I usually search for patterns and that's about it. Like most technology I don't use it to it's full potential. I would like that to change. I hope by participating in A Year of Projects not only can I have fun and finish projects but hopefully use Ravelry a bit more efficiently.
Here is my list:
Crochet -
- Finish granny square blanket, I'm so close!
- Make a Yarndale Wooly Sheep from Attic 24 blog
- Keep making snowflakes from 100 Snowflake to Crochet
- Doily/mandala
- Two holidays items
- Spice of Life blanket, pattern from Cherry Heart blog
- A scarf
- A shawl
- Work as many projects from my own stash
- Finish spring hexie quilt project
- Finish holiday hexie project (both are from Wild Olive blog)
- Practice Knitting
- Make a gift
- Make something unexpected
- Learn to use photo apps with iPhone to take more creative pictures
- Use other cameras
Here's to a great Year of Projects!
Welcome to YOP!! Great list. 100 snowflakes sounds like so much fun. Ravelry is an awesome place. Check out FotoRus. Free app for iPhone. Lots of great editing features.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dianna, I will definitely try FotoRus.
DeleteGood luck! I have a hard time staying on track with anything.
ReplyDeleteI like making lists but usually have a hard time sticking to them. The hexie projects are two I want to finish. I hope accountability will help the motivation. We'll see how this goes. I think it will be fun.
DeleteLove your list. Lots of great projects there, and I hope you show us your snowflakes. I, too, love crocheting snowflakes after being given one many years ago. And I'm looking forward to seeing what the 'make something unexpected' item is, but I could be waiting a year for that, lol.
ReplyDeleteI added the unexpected item to remind myself it isn't always about ticking things off a list. Plus I hope it will also help keep my creative side curious! At least that's the plan : ) Let's hope it's not a full year before inspiration strikes, lol.
DeleteGreat list. I want to get better at using my cameras too. I know the Nikon will do so much more than I know now.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the projects piling up. Rav is great for keeping track.
Lisa, you've got a great YOP list. And I've got to say... I love both of your hexie projects. I love the fabrics, the colors, and the EMBROIDERY! I've got to check out Wild Olive.
